At the moment, Leeds United is in a minor form crisis. The Whites have been performing very disappointing in the Premier League in recent weeks and have therefore dropped some places in the rankings. Of the last five matches that Leeds United played, no fewer than four were lost to the team of Marcelo Bielsa. In recent weeks, Arsenal (4-2), Wolverhampton Wanderers (1-0), Aston Villa (0-1) and West Ham United (2-0) have all been too strong for Leeds. Bielsa does not yet have access to the Englishman Adam Forshaw, the Dutchman Pascal Struijk and the Spaniard Pablo Hernández are still missing.

Chelsea – Statistics & current form
Thomas Tuchel is at the helm of Chelsea for eleven games. The number of defeats for the German after those eleven games is zero. Tuchel also managed to win no less than eight of those eleven matches with the West Londoners. Frank Lampard’s resignation from Chelsea was a bit unexpected and perhaps a bit undeserved, but a month and a half later we can say that Tuchel is performing better than his predecessor. Champions League qualification is still a real goal for Chelsea. The West Londoners are currently fourth in the Premier League and would like to hold on to that place. Just like Leeds United, Chelsea also came into action on Monday evening. At Stamford Bridge, Tuchel’s team was visited by Everton. Chelsea managed to win those games 2-0 and did good business with Champions League qualification in mind, mainly because Everton is one of the possible competitors for that fourth Champions League ticket. For Chelsea it is now important to take three points against Leeds United as well. Moreover, that would boost The Blues’ confidence again. Chances are that Tuchel will rotate a bit on Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, because the important Champions League match against Atlético Madrid is scheduled for Wednesday evening.
