In the match played a week ago in England Liverpool managed to win the match with the score of 2-0, they clearly dominated that match and had numerous chances to score but they failed to score until the second half, when they managed to score two goals in less than two minutes and set the final score in the 65th minute of the match.
Surely Villarreal will opt to play with a few reserve players in the championship round they have to play against Alaves and this will allow them to be a bit more rested in Tuesday night’s match but I don’t think this will help them much.
In the first leg even if the score was 2-0 Liverpool clearly dominated the whole game and Villarreal barely managed to pass the half of the pitch, in the 90 minutes played at Liverpool they didn’t manage to send even a shot into the Allison goal.
I think that in Tuesday night’s game Villarreal will have to run a bit more as they have nothing left to lose and this I think will allow Liverpool to have more space in attack and score with more ease than in the first leg.
