Saudi Arabia – Mexico Free Betting Tips Free Betting Tips

Group C of the 2022 World Cup will undoubtedly have the most tense finish to the group stage, with all four teams still in contention to reach the knockout rounds. This is partly due to Saudi Arabia’s historic 2-1 win over Argentina in the first group stage, but the 2-0 defeat to Poland in the next match opened up all possibilities.
That result leaves more options open for Saudi Arabia, who can advance from the group stage for the first time since their tournament debut in 1994. The safest path would be a win or at least a better result than Argentina, given their inferior record. A Mexico team they have never beaten before (0-1-4) stands in the way of the Saudis in what will be their 19th World Cup finals match, all of which have been played, strangely enough, against different opponents!

Mexico’s situation turns out to be much more complex. The North American national team cannot decide their own destiny, with only a win giving them hope of qualifying for a ninth consecutive World Cup knockout stage. A win for the Mexicans, coupled with a Polish victory over Argentina, would see the ‘tricolores’ advance, otherwise a draw or a win for Argentina would bring their record into play, with the Mexicans’ currently the worst in the group.

This could prove to be the worst-case scenario for Mexico, given that they have failed to score in their last four World Cup finals matches (0-1-3), which casts serious doubt on their ability to get the win needed to qualify. These doubts are heightened if one also looks at their record in their last World Cup group match, having won just once in their last seven such matches (1-3-3).
Players to watch: Salem Al-Dawsari, who scored Saudi Arabia’s winner against Argentina, will once again look to prove decisive, having scored the opening goal for his country in five of his last seven scoring appearances. With their qualification hopes hanging by a thread, Mexico will be hoping their lucky charm Hirving Lozano can bail them out, with the North American national team unbeaten when the striker scores (13-1-0).
Interesting statistic: Saudi Arabia have kept one clean sheet in their 18 matches at the World Cup finals.
World Cup trivia: Mexico’s 16 previous World Cup appearances are the most among nations that have yet to be crowned world champions.
