Paraguay have managed just two wins in their 16 matches so far in this qualifying campaign. They managed to beat last-placed Venezuela in the first leg and the return leg.
They have failed to win any of their last 7 official matches (all in the qualifying group), losing 5 out of 7. In their last two games, Paraguay lost 0-1 at home to Uruguay and 4-0 to Brazil, a team that had already qualified for the World Cup.
