Barcelona – Galatasaray Free Betting Tips
This winter’s break and transfers have put Barcelona back on track. Xavi’s team has started to play quality football again, but perhaps too late for this season, considering that they were eliminated from the Champions League and are 15 points behind the leaders in the league. However, in order to save their egos, the Catalans can win a trophy this season, the Europa League, but for this, they have to get past Galatasaray first, a team that is doing badly in the Turkish championship, but that plays honourably in Europe.
Barcelona eliminated Napoli in the last 16, as Xavi’s team managed to beat them 2-4 in Italy, after a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Camp Nou.
Since that match, they have beaten Ath Bilbao 4-0 in the league, and in the last round they beat Elche 1-2, making the Catalans 11 games without defeat in the league, including 7 wins.
On the other side, Galatasaray lost in the last round against the second place Konyaspor with the score 2-0. The team from Istanbul ranks after 28 rounds on a surprising 12th place after 9 wins, 8 draws and 11 defeats, being closer to the relegation zone (8 points ahead) than the European Cups.
In the Europa League however, Galatasaray finished first without defeat in a group that also included Lazio, Marseille and Lokomotiv Moscow, who had 3 draws and 3 wins.
The second leg against Napoli showed us that FC Barcelona take this competition seriously, which is why we expect Xavi to use his best squad. Galatasaray has won only one away game out of the last 10, and that was 2-3 away to Goztepe, a team that is in the relegation zone and has been losing on the trot.
Taking these things into account, I expect Barcelona to decide the issue of qualification from the first leg, which is why I will bet on a Catalan win by at least two goals difference.
