Until the mid-1990s, the village club TSV Aubstadt played a maximum in the county league. Then a sponsorship pool took care of the club and ensured a continuous upswing. It was followed by seven years Bezirksoberliga, eleven seasons Landesliga Nordbayern and seven rounds in the Bayernliga Nord.
